We have just had the table completely gone through by our turntable technician, cleaning inside and out, lubricating drive motor and mechanism, adjusting tone arm height, lead OUT and 'auto return' mechanism and testing performance. Tone-Arm height adjusted. Fresh, new belt installed for trouble-free service. Platter spindle disassembled, cleaned and re-lubed with 10,000 grade silicone lubricant then Speed tested / checked to +/- 1% accuracy with our factory test strobe disc. Gimbal bearing, counter weight and anti-skating all adjusted and verified for accuracy. Stop mechanism adjusted and tested. All functions work great! Unfortunately, there is no dust cover included with this one.
Original rubber mat, still supple and flexible with no hardening. The Pioneer PL-518 is one of the most famous and 'sought after' of the "classic" Pioneer Turntables. We get about 1 good example of this model once every 3 years, or so.
It would be almost unheard of to find a Pioneer PL-518 turntable that did not have the natural rubber feet deteriorated and this one is no example, so that is why we are including a set of fresh, 2", 50 Duro, Sorbothane® hemispheres to isolate it from it's environment (it is generally accepted that Sorbothane simulates vibration isolation properties similar to water).....

I would have kept it myself and installed something of much less value, but I already have a 'stable full' of cartridges for me)

We have just had the table completely checked out and testing performance. Fresh, New platter drive belt installed. Speed selector switch contacts cleaned internally so motor runs steady. Speed checked and verified for accuracy with our factory test strobe disc to 100% accuracy. Tone arm bearing perfectly smooth in operation. Original rubber mat, still supple and flexible with no hardening. Original dust cover had a 'medium' buff to remove any 'offensive' scuffs / scratches and looks great. No cracks, chips, splits of major dings. Both hinges and hinge area in fine condition, crack free and hinge spring hold dust cover up fine. Both cover hinge tabs completely intact. We also re-installed the existing, Pioneer, 295T, P-Mount, 0.6mil 'Conical' diamond stylus, magnetic cartridge.  (If you prefer an up-grade you may also choose from our selection of new Audio Technica cartridges that we can also set up and ship with it for the additional cartridge cost.) You can readily connect this table to any receiver, Integrated amplifier with a standard magnetic phono input, or a Pre-amp. ü  Our technician has completely gone through and 'Certified' this unit cleaning inside and out, cleaning out ‘gelled’ lubes (a ‘MUST DO’ on all pre-owned / vintage turntables) and re-lubricating mechanism.  Motor internal oil points lubed. Anti-Skating adjustment cleaned of old lubes and re-lubed. New belt installed for trouble-free service. Speed checked and verified for accuracy with factory test strobe disc to 99.95% accuracy. Gimbal bearing, counter weight and anti-skating all adjusted and verified for accuracy. Stop mechanism adjusted and tested. Internal cartridge muting reed switches re-sprung for perfect connection. All functions work great! Both Hinges function fine and hold cover in upright position. Included rubber mat supple w/ no cracks, splits or warping. While the original dust cover does have a couple of older, repaired / welded cracks, we did give it a fresh buff and it looks nice with only a few minor battle scars, nothing distracting (see photos above). We also installed and adjusted a brand new Audio-Technica, AT-95ELCOT, Elliptical cut Diamond, magnetic cartridge and optimized the tone arm for it. (If you prefer an up-grade you may also choose from our selection of new Audio Technica cartridges that we can also set up and ship with it for the additional cartridge cost.) You can readily connect this table to any receiver, Integrated amplifier with a standard magnetic phono input, or a Pre-amp. These are great tables to use. Pioneer Fully Automatic - Linear tracking, PL-L550, stereo turntable. These are great turntables for overall quality and convenience. Essentially "Close and Play". Linear tables by nature are great if you have cats or children as they must be closed to operate and when the cover is lifted the fragile parts (ie the tone arm and cartridge goes up with the lid. Very 'dust free' operation, due to lid / cover design and almost impossible to damage your records with! Only cosmetic issue with mentioning is a small 1" crack in the dust cover (see photos above). Following the above restoration, it looks fabulous, now functions correctly and performs well.
